The fine print — honestly written.
These terms govern your use of our services. Written in plain English. If anything's unclear, ask us before booking.
Effective date: April 1, 2026
These terms ("Terms") govern your engagement of Ontario Exterior Cleaning Inc. ("we," "us," "our") for any exterior cleaning service. By requesting a quote or engaging our service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Quotes and scope
- Quotes are free and carry no obligation until you accept.
- Quotes are written and fixed-scope. The price on the quote is the price on the invoice for the scope listed.
- Quotes are valid for 30 days unless specified otherwise.
- We may adjust the scope on site if we discover conditions not visible during the walk-through (e.g. serious hidden damage, unsafe access). We'll stop work and call you before proceeding with any change.
- If we discover additional minor scope on site that we can handle without a price change, we just do it. We don't use "scope creep" as a pricing lever.
2. Scheduling and access
- We book 3-hour arrival windows. We call 30–60 minutes before arrival.
- You must ensure safe access to the property — unlocked gates, pets secured, vehicles moved from driveway (for driveway cleaning).
- For exterior work you don't need to be home, but outdoor water (if we need it) must be on, or we'll use our on-board tanks.
- For interior work you must be home or authorize someone to let us in.
- Weather cancellations are on us — no charge, we reschedule.
- Customer cancellations with 24+ hours notice are free. Less than 24 hours we charge a $50 rescheduling fee.
3. Payment
- Payment is due on completion — same-day invoice with e-transfer or credit card options.
- Large jobs (over $2,000) may require a 20% deposit to schedule.
- We accept credit card, e-transfer, and cheque.
- Unpaid invoices over 30 days accrue 1.5% monthly interest.
- We may use a collection agency for invoices unpaid beyond 90 days.
4. Satisfaction guarantee
- We walk the property with you at the end of every job.
- If anything is not right, we fix it on the spot — no rebooking, no invoice games.
- If after fixing you are still not satisfied, we will refund the affected portion of the invoice.
- The guarantee does not cover:
- Pre-existing damage not caused by our work
- Results outside what cleaning can achieve (e.g. permanent stains, surface wear, structural issues)
- Regrowth of algae/moss/efflorescence after the visit (these recur naturally)
5. Warranties
- Workmanship warranty: 30 days — if our work fails (streaks, visible debris missed, polymeric sand failure, sealer delamination in first 30 days), we return and fix.
- Sealer warranty: matte sealer 3 years, wet-look sealer 5 years on bond. Sealer will fade under UV and wear — that's normal, not a warranty claim.
- Polymeric sand warranty: 1 year — if sand washes out within the first year we return and re-sand that area.
Warranties do not cover:
- Normal wear and fade
- Damage from subsequent weather events (ice storms, hail)
- Damage from other trades (e.g. a plumber working on your property after us)
- Third-party damage (neighbors, pets, weather)
6. Limitation of liability
We carry $2M general liability insurance and WSIB coverage on every technician.
Our liability for any single claim is limited to the amount of the invoice for the affected service, except in the case of personal injury, in which case our insurance coverage applies.
We are not responsible for:
- Pre-existing damage (cracked pavers, aging siding, rotten wood trim)
- Damage caused by improper installations done by others
- Normal wear and tear
- Consequential damages (e.g. your basement flooding because of a leaking gutter we cleaned but did not repair)
- Losses caused by your failure to secure pets, move items, or provide access
7. Intellectual property
- Photos we take of your property may be used for marketing (gallery, social media, website) with your consent.
- We blur house numbers and exclude any identifying details on request.
- You may ask us to remove any photo from our marketing at any time.
- Our website content, branding, and materials are our intellectual property.
8. Force majeure
We are not liable for delays or failures caused by events outside our reasonable control — weather, power outages, equipment failure, fires, disease outbreaks, government orders.
9. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
10. Severability
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remainder stays in effect.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. Active customers are notified of material changes via email; all updates are posted on this page with a new effective date.
