Accessibility

Our commitment to accessibility.

We want every Ontario homeowner to be able to understand, navigate, and book our services — regardless of ability. We commit to WCAG 2.1 AA on our website and AODA standards in our business.

Effective date: April 1, 2026

Ontario Exterior Cleaning Inc. is committed to providing accessible service and digital experiences for all Ontarians, including people with disabilities. We meet or work toward meeting the standards of:

  • Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) — Integrated Accessibility Standards Regulation (O. Reg. 191/11)
  • Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA

Our website

Standards we meet

  • Semantic HTML with proper heading hierarchy
  • Keyboard-only navigation throughout the site
  • Skip links to main content
  • Alt text on all informative images
  • Color contrast of 4.5:1 or greater for body text, 3:1 for large text and UI
  • Responsive design that reflows content at 400% zoom
  • Focus indicators visible on all interactive elements
  • Semantic form labels and error messaging
  • ARIA landmarks where semantic HTML alone is insufficient
  • No flashing content above 3 Hz

Tools we use to verify

  • axe-core automated scans (monthly)
  • Lighthouse accessibility audits
  • Screen reader testing (VoiceOver on macOS/iOS, NVDA on Windows)
  • Keyboard-only navigation testing

Known issues

This is an evolving site. If you encounter any accessibility barrier, please email accessibility@ontarioexteriorcleaning.ca — we take every report seriously and respond within 7 business days.

Our service

What we offer

  • Alternative formats of any document (quote, invoice, FAQ): large print, email, or phone narration on request
  • Phone-based booking — you don't have to use the website to book
  • Payment alternatives — cheque or in-person e-transfer for customers who prefer not to use the online form
  • Service animal accommodation — our crew is trained to work safely around service animals at your property
  • Accessible parking — we'll coordinate with you if our truck placement would block accessible parking or ramps
  • Sign language arrangement — for any on-site walk-through with a customer who uses sign language, we can arrange a visit with advance notice

What we ask

  • Tell us any accessibility needs when you book so we can prepare
  • If a crew member's approach isn't working for you, tell us — we'll adjust
  • Feedback is welcome and helps us improve

AODA training

All our customer-facing employees complete AODA customer service training covering:

  • Communicating with people with disabilities
  • Working with service animals
  • Supporting support persons
  • Using assistive devices
  • Providing goods and services in an accessible manner

Multi-year accessibility plan

In compliance with AODA section 4, we have a multi-year accessibility plan available on request. Email accessibility@ontarioexteriorcleaning.ca.
