The difference between a proper pressure wash and a damaging one isn't the machine — it's the technique. We see it every spring: homeowners call us to fix siding dimpled by a rookie with a 4000 PSI wand, or brick pointing blown out by someone who treated it like a concrete pad. That's not what pressure washing should be.
What "surface-matched" actually means
Every material we clean has a maximum safe pressure, a preferred detergent, a recommended nozzle angle, and a distance range. Vinyl siding tolerates maybe 500 PSI at close range — and even then, only with a 40° fan tip. Pressure-treated wood fibres lift and rough at 1500 PSI. But interlock joints need 3000 PSI with a surface cleaner to get the dirt out without displacing the sand. That's why we train our crew on 14 specific surface profiles, and why we never start a job without walking it first.
Our soft-wash vs high-pressure split
Soft wash (under 500 PSI) is used for vinyl, aluminum, painted wood, fiber-cement, engineered siding, stucco, and delicate brick. The cleaning power comes from the chemistry — a diluted sodium hypochlorite + surfactant blend that kills algae and lifts grime over an 8–12 minute dwell. Then a low-pressure rinse.
High pressure (2500–4000 PSI) is used for concrete, asphalt, unglazed brick, stone, and pool deck textured coatings. We run 18-inch rotary surface cleaners for even coverage and zebra-stripe-free results.

How we approach every pressure washing job.
- Step 01
Property walk-through
We identify delicate surfaces (painted wood, soft brick, old mortar), problem spots (organic staining, efflorescence, rust), and access considerations. You get a written scope.
- Step 02
Surface prep
Plants covered or pre-wet. Pet toys, patio furniture, planters moved. We protect electrical outlets and any vulnerable low windows with plastic sheeting.
- Step 03
Soft wash detergent pass
For siding and painted wood, a diluted sodium hypochlorite + surfactant mix lifts mildew, algae, and atmospheric grime. Dwell time 8–12 minutes depending on temperature.
- Step 04
Rinse or surface clean
Soft-wash surfaces get a low-pressure rinse. Concrete, brick, and flagstone get a rotary surface cleaner (18-inch dual-nozzle) for even, streak-free results.
- Step 05
Walk-through & photos
We walk the property with you, spot-treat anything we missed, and send before/after photos of every elevation with the invoice.

Recent reviews for pressure washing.
“They cleaned our 15-year-old Glen Abbey driveway — years of moss and oil stains gone in a morning. No damage to the surrounding landscaping, no pushy upsell on sealing.”
“Our Aldershot home's vinyl siding had green staining on the north face. Their soft-wash approach was night and day versus the guy we tried last year who "pressure blasted" it and made dents.”
“Erin Mills stamped concrete. They knew to drop the pressure so it wouldn't etch, and they sealed it after. Looks showroom.”
Pressure Washing in your city.
Common questions about pressure washing.
Not with the soft-wash approach. Vinyl siding, aluminum, engineered wood, and fiber-cement should all be cleaned at under 500 PSI with detergent. High pressure (3000+ PSI) is ONLY used on concrete, stone, and brick — and even then, at the right angle and distance. We inspect and match pressure to surface on every job.
Yes for oil stains, gum, and heavy grease. We run 12V diesel burners on our commercial units. For most residential work cold water + detergent does the job.
We pre-wet vegetation before detergent goes up, tarp sensitive plantings if needed, and rinse thoroughly after. Our detergent is biodegradable and plant-safe at working dilution. In 500+ homes we've never killed a plant — but if you have a prized specimen, just flag it on the walk-through.
Annual soft-wash keeps most Oakville / GTA homes looking great. Shaded north elevations and homes near the escarpment may benefit from every 9–12 months to stay ahead of algae and mildew. Driveways every 1–2 years unless heavy stain exposure.
Absolutely. 60% of our bookings are just-the-driveway. There's a visit minimum of $199 for a one-off, but we drop that minimum on a bundled service.
We offer concrete and interlock sealing as a separate service (wet-look or matte, 3–5 year lifespan). We don't hard-sell it — many driveways don't need it and we'll tell you so.
Pressure washing season for us is roughly April through mid-November in the GTA. We pack in once temps consistently stay below freezing overnight. Winter-prep washes in October/November fill up fast — book early.
